James Comey will always be the poster child for how a dual system of justice got started in this country. When he stood in front of the cameras and admitted Hillary Clinton had been “extremely careless” with classified information, then turned around and said she shouldn’t be charged, that was the moment the system was exposed. Regular people would have been dragged through the mud and thrown in jail, but the powerful walked away without consequences.
The Russia collusion mess only proved it further. Comey allowed the Steele dossier, a piece of junk paid for by Clinton’s campaign, to be used to spy on Trump’s team. From there, the country got years of taxpayer money wasted, endless investigations, and nothing real to show for it. The whole thing was designed to unseat a duly elected President. If that is not using the justice system as a political weapon, then what is.
Even after Trump fired him, Comey could not help himself. He leaked his own memos to spark the Mueller probe, then cashed in with book tours and TV appearances like he was some kind of hero. The arrogance of it is unbelievable.
His indictment should be the first of many.
Fully agree. Comey invented - out of his own imagination - a new ‘mental state’ requirement for leaking or exposing confidential information.
He was the head of the FBI. That was NOT his call to make. The FBI is an investigative arm of the Dept of Justice. It the DoJ that decides if there is reason to indict, not the fvcking FBI!
It was infuriating at the time and later he revealed that he was a partisan scoundrel. I hope he rots in prison.
Conflict of Interest! Fired Eastern District US attorney Eric Siebert's father-in-law is the godfather to former FBI director James Comey's daughter!
No wonder Siebert produced a memo recommending no prosecution of Comey. He should've recused himself from the beginning.
This is how Roger Stone was arrested, with authorities tipping off Kaitlan’s employer so the whole thing could be filmed and splashed across the news. There is no plausible or legitimate reason why Comey shouldn’t have been treated the same way.

Maurene Comey is James Comey’s daughter. She worked at the DOJ, but she was recently fired on July 16, 2025. She was an assistant United States attorney in the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York (SDNY) from 2016 to 2025.
Maurene Comey is married to Lucas Issacharoff, the Assistant U.S. Attorney in SDNY, working in the Civil Division since 2019. He is STILL employed at the DOJ even though his wife just filed a lawsuit against the Trump DOJ last week, challenging her termination.
James Comey has 6 kids. One of his kids died as a baby, and so he has 5 living kids. Of those 5, he has 4 daughters and one son. He has a daughter named Katherine Comey and she is married to a man named Troy Edwards.
Today, Troy Edwards RESIGNED from the DOJ after his father in law James Comey was indicted. He was a federal prosecutor at the DOJ.
This means that James Comey has 3 family members who have been working inside the DOJ under the second Trump administration.
One of those 3 is still employed at the Trump DOJ.
Washington DC literally runs on Nepotism. I wonder if his other kids and in laws still work inside the Trump admin as well.

MSNBC guest says political appointees don't take sides. 20 seconds later she suggests DOJ officials and lawyers will protest and resign if James Comey is indicted.
